The Beauty of Ancient China Before Communism: Just as in other great civilizations of the past, Chinese people believed that the greatest ideas and achievements have been divinely inspired. Shen Yun is the world’s premier Chinese dance company, and they show audiences around the globe what Chinese performing arts were before a communist dictatorship took control of China. And each of Shen Yun’s eight touring groups travels with its own orchestra, who combine classical Western instruments with classical Chinese instruments. In 2026, Shen Yun will perform three shows in Pittsburgh from March 21-22 and six shows in Philadelphia from April 15-19. Shows often sell out–we suggest buying early. We look forward to seeing you at the show!
