The Persecution of Falun Gong
After its public introduction in 1992, Falun Gong (also called Falun Dafa) spread peacefully throughout China until 1999. In just a few years, it became the most popular form of qigong in China. Chinese government surveys and media reports placed the number of people practicing between 70 and 100 million people by 1998. People practicing the Falun Gong exercises filled parks in China’s large cities. Before the persecution started, Falun Gong had become an integral part of Chinese society. By the time the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) turned against Falun Gong in 1999, there were 100 million Falun Gong practitioners.
Unfortunately, since July 20, 1999, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been brutally persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners in China for remaining steadfast in their beliefs. The persecution is still happening today, with tens of millions of people being targeted. The regime’s crimes against humanity include torture, murder and forced organ harvesting.
Please be aware that the CCP has intensified its propaganda and lawfare attacks against Falun Dafa around the world. This upsurge started right after the US House of Representatives unanimously passed the Falun Gong Protection Act in June of 2024, which would give any sitting President the authority to sanction perpetrators of forced organ harvesting in China. The CCP is killing Falun Dafa practitioners and other prisoners of conscience and selling their organs to people in need of transplants. Unfortunately, the 2024 Congressional session ended before the bill could be passed in the Senate. The Act was again quickly passed in the House in 2025.
